Obligatory Welcome Message

I've tried blogging in the past. I've had a personal blog, a product marketing/advertising blog, and a food blog. I found my attention and dedication to these blogs waned as I began to question why anyone cared what I thought about the piece on the evening news, the new product on my grocer's shelf or what I had for dinner. Then, of course, I started to feel bad about neglecting them and  this pressure built and built so I began to avoid posting at all, and, well... that led me to letting them die a slow torturous death by starvation.

But now the little voice in my head is getting louder.  'Write,' it says. "Write, write and write some more!"
"But what if nobody cares?" I question.
"Who cares?" it responds. "You must write."
"But..."
"No buts about it!  Get to it, get off your @** and start!  Start now!  Right now!  No excuses!"

That little voice was loud and wasn't about to shut up so here I am once again.  The plus side of blogging is that it satisfies my need to get everything out of my brain in some sort of organized fashion (at least better then the multitude of yellow stickies I have floating around my office and home).  And perhaps, this will lead to engaging in meaningful discourse with others (if you are out there and wanting to open up).

I'm a craft-a-holic, a bit ADHD and obsessive compulsive all at the same time when it comes to art and craft projects.  I've been doing some sort of creative endeavour since a young child and this space will be one more place for my creative output.  I envision that this blog will be bis and pieces of my life, pulled from all areas as it seems relevant, appropriate and interesting.  In general, my musings, meanderings and inspirations as well as a way to organize some of the activities I have going on which range from knitting, to painting, to scrapbooking, to writing and more.  I've got a bunch of projects on the go but life sometimes gets in the way so things get pushed to the back burner and take double or triple the time to complete (or longer).  It's creativity at the speed of life.  It happens to the best of us.  Hopefully writing about my progress (or lack of it) will help to motivate me and perhaps stir your creativity as well.
